The pressbook in English for the Oscar nominated movie le Gout des autres (The taste of others) directed in 2000 by Agnes Jaoui, who cowrote the screenplay with Jean-Pierre Bacri. They're also in the cast, Bacri in the leading role of Castella and Jaoui playing Manie

"Dann doch: Der Tod des Märchenprinzen Agnès Jaoui behauptet sich schon seit Le goût des autres (Lust auf Anderes, 2000) als starke Regisseurin. Ihre Stärke ist ihr unübertreffbarer Sinn für Humor, den sie in aberwitzigen Szenen und trockenen Dialogen, die sie gemeinsam mit Jean-Pierre Bacri ersinnt, ausagiert. In Au bout du conte (wörtlich »Am Ende der Erzählung«, aber auch als Wortspiel »Au bout du compte«, etwa: »was am Ende bleibt«) zersetzt sie gekonnt und mit viel Leichtigkeit das Märchen vom Traumprinzen: Sie nimmt erkennbare Versatzstücke (Aschenputtel, Schneewittchen, Rapunzel), fügt diesen ein paar Prisen Marivaux'sche Geschlechter- und Liebesverwirrung hinzu und sieht dann genussvoll zu, wie sich unter der experimentellen Anordnung alle Träume in Luft auflösen.
