On rit d'autant mieux qu'on se reconnaît dans certaines réparties de cette chronique familiale, comme lorsque la mère prêche à ses rejetons "les fondamentaux: Gandhi, Bouddha, tout ça!". Sans parler de la psychologie à la petite semaine: "l'ostéopathe et l'acupuncteur sont formels: le mal de dos, c'est le passé!" "Though Jaoui has gone on to be a notable filmmaker in her own right (see: The Taste Of Others, Look At Me), Un Air De Famille was directed by Cédric Klapisch (L’Auberge Espagnole, Russian Dolls), who does a magnificent job of keeping the film from feeling stagebound despite its single location. But the real star is Jaoui and Bacri’s screenplay, which establishes a few nuggets of insecurity and resentment early on and then gradually escalates them into full-blown comic crises, in the tradition of something like Fawlty Towers.   "...Et s'il n'est pas aussi abouti qu'Un air de famille (de Cédric Klapisch) ou On connaît la chanson (d'Alain Resnais) - scénarisés par le même tandem dans les années 90 -, s'il semble plus éparpillé et laisse parfois une impression de redite, il est truffé des répliques pleines d'esprit et des dialogues drôlement caustiques que les admirateurs du couple apprécient depuis leurs débuts.

 Agnès Jaoui ist eine hellwache Beobachterin. Wenn sie mit Jean-Pierre Bacri ein Drehbuch schreibt, dann besteht die Welt um die beiden herum aus lauter kleinen Zufälligkeiten, die sie sich jederzeit erzählen können. Der Schauspieler Bacri ist vor der Kamera der Meister der Andeutung. Er braucht eine Pointe noch nicht einmal mehr auszusprechen. Wir schmunzeln schon, wenn er anfängt zu murmeln. Die Liebesgeschichte, die Bacri und Jaoui erfunden haben, hat kaum einen narrativen Faden. Aber sie ist voller wunderbarer Zufälle, die erst in der Zusammenschau sich in unserem Kopf zusammensetzen. Jaoui bebildert diese Liebesgeschichte wie ein Märchen, und doch wirkt ihre Wirklichkeit nicht märchenhaft: Wenn auch ein Fisch durch die Wohnung schwebt, wenn auch die Pflanzen grellbunt wie im Aquarium sind: In Wirklichkeit fiebern wir dem 14. "Książę nie z tej bajki", reż. Agnès Jaoui Zabawny, pełen wdzięku, choć odrobinę za długi film. 




 "Ceniona nad Sekwaną francuska piosenkarka, aktorka, scenarzystka, a od 13 lat również reżyserka filmowa Agnès Jaoui często bywa porównywana do Woody’ego Allena. Jej wielowątkowe, osadzone w środowisku paryskiej inteligencji melodramaty (m.in. „Gusta i guściki”, „Popatrz na mnie”) kręcą się wokół niedopasowania, odwiecznych problemów podszytych beznadziejnymi pytaniami o sens życia i sztuki. „Książę nie z tej bajki” to jej czwarta satyryczno-obyczajowa komedia poświęcona nie tyle miłosnym perypetiom z nierozwiązywalnymi dylematami moralnymi w tle, co kwestii przesądów, wartości nadających odmienny kierunek ludzkim zachowaniom. Humor widoczny jest w dążeniu do konfrontacji różnych strategii życiowych. L’objectif valait bien une telle complicité. « Au bout du conte » c’est une écriture magnifique, si naturelle que l’on n’imagine ni le poids des mots, ni leur signification. Ils s’entendent comme une petite musique de cinéma, qui ne s’arrêterait jamais. Les dialogues, les situations, même les plus insolites, coulent de source, fluides, dans ce récit qui entre légende et réalité, se faufile au gré des humeurs. Au lecteur-spectateur de se frayer un passage, et dieu sait que les chemins ne manquent pas dans ce foisonnement d’idées et de bonheur conjugués.
